My friend and ex-co worker (as in we sat right next to each for something like five years) Nina Walia skipped town and headed to the West Coast last year to work on this project for Nike. If you knew her you can see how this would be 100% right up her alley.

Ben Folds, Damian Kulash (OK Go), Amanda Palmer(Dresden Dolls, solo), and author Neil Gaiman will write and record eight songs in eight hours (4:00 p.m. to midnight) at Berklee College of Music, Monday, April 25, and release them 10 hours later during Rethink Music, in Boston.
I’ve listened to this a couple of times so far, and it just seems like an awesomely interesting project. For some reason it reminds me of a radio serial.*
Today I enjoy the internet.
* I used to find tapes of The Shadow’s old radio show at flea markets and listen to them. So I’m qualified to use the term ‘radio serial.’
